Tbo Touch has resigned from Metro FM

Radio presenter DJ Thabo "T-Bo Touch" Molefe has resigned from Metro FM.

In a resignation letter in which TMG Entertainment is in possession of‚ Touch thanks the SABC for “the time and efforts in building my TV and radio career.”

“I pride myself to be counted amongst a great team of broadcasters that has graced this corporation.”

Touch was suspended earlier this year after allegedly being involved in a physical altercation with a fellow staff member and refusing to read advertisements on air — allegations that he denied.

After the suspension‚ his contract was renewed for what insiders told us was an “offer he couldn’t refuse.”

Meanwhile‚ acting CEO Jimi Matthews tweeted his own resignation letter on Monday‚ saying that he has compromised his values.

“For many months I have compromised the values I hold dear under the mistaken belief that I could be more effective inside the SABC than outside‚ passing comment from the side-lines.”

It’s understood that Touch resigned last week and the letter makes no references to any hard feelings between himself and the public broadcaster.
