The reality TV star has detailed how she was invited to a friend’s house for dinner when a guest started making rude comments towards her.

In a series of tweets‚ Lexi explained how a “hidden hater” started making comments about her past.

“Convos flow. Good times. This particular person starts blabbing about the PAST. Big Brother days. Remember those?! F*ck me... She starts referring to Mandla as ‘Kanye’ I’m like who’s Kanye? She smirks and points. I roll my eyes. Some irritation erupts from nowhere. From the get go I could tell this person hates me. She only “knows” me as Lexi from BBM. She was hoping I’d get crazy as on the show.”

She went on to explain how she is tired of people looking for a reaction out of her when she has changed.

“I’m tired of you psycho b**ches acting crazy like this and provoking me to react the way pray on the days you wish you’d meet me“

Her tweets were met with support from fans‚ who told her not to take the messages personally.

But Lexi was clearly rattled by the person‚ saying that she almost resorted to violence.

Although she strongly insists that Big Brother opened a lot of doors for her, Van Niekerk emphasised in an interview with Sowetan Live that she wouldn't advice any young person to go down the same path as her.

"I did Big Brother like two years ago and people feel like we know Lexi, but they don't. People get to see a small part of your life and what you try to do in the house. I would advice for people to not do it and focus on your real life. Don't get me wrong, Big Brother has opened a lot of doors for me, which I have taken a lot of opportunities from," Van Niekerk cautions.
