Businessman and media personality Sbusiso Leope‚ popularly known as DJ Sbu‚ has announced that he will reduce the price of his energy drink for foreign store owners as a way of saying thank you to them for their support.

Sbu took to Instagram on Thursday to reveal that he is “sick and tired” of red tape preventing his energy drink Mofaya from being made available in garages and major retailers. So‚ he’s decided to take it to “the people.”

In the post‚ DJ Sbu thanked Somalian‚ Ethiopian‚ Bangladeshi and Pakistani communities for supporting his brand‚ and announced an exclusive deal for their stores.

“We are proud to announce our Mofaya Winter Price Mania of R10 per can. 500ml coming soon. Price strictly for the streets‚ Somali‚ Pakistani‚ Bangladesh & Ethiopian Stores‚” he wrote.

According to previous reports‚ the usual price of a can goes for R18.

Reflecting on the brand that almost crippled him financially‚ DJ Sbu said that no obstacles set by his competitors would be able to prosper.

“They are all trying to copy us. But we are far ahead of them. They are lazy to think. They try block us with exclusivity deals by throwing around their big budgets. But Mofaya is still cooler than all of them. And it’s here to stay. We going nowhere. We are leading the #BuyBlack revolution‚” he wrote.

Referring to the sacrifices he’s had to make to ensure that the energy drink is a success‚ DJ Sbu revealed late last year that the energy drink had left him “broke”. A condition that didn’t seem to improve a few months later when he revealed‚ in another post‚ that he was still “broke AF”
