New kid on the hip-hop block Emtee is ecstatic about attending his very first Metro FM Music Awards tomorrow.

The Roll Up hit-maker, who will take to the stage on the big night, has however chosen to keep the details around his performance a surprise. "It's going to be a complete turn-up. When I perform the crowd goes hand-in-hand, they give me that energy.

"It's probably going to be one of my best performances yet. I think I'm a great performer, so people can expect the best from me. It's my first Metros, so I have to step up," he says.

He is nominated in four categories including best music video and best new artist, but it is the best hip-hop album he would kill for. His debut album, Avery, faces tough competition from Cassper Nyovest, Riky Rick, Fifi Cooper and Zakwe.

For his wardrobe, the 23-year-old rapper says: "With me swag is natural. Half the time I don't plan what to wear."
