Skeem Saam actress Lesego Marakalla often endures unpleasant jeers and sneers from people at malls and other public places because of the role she plays in the drama series.
Marakalla is famed for playing the controversial Rachel Kunutu on the SABC1 award-winning youth drama. Her character is presently head-over-heels in love with a man old enough to be her father, Marothi Maphuthuma, portrayed by Macks Papo.
However, Marakalla (22) said she was enjoying the sugar daddy storyline more than any other since she first started playing Rachel (18) as part of the first season cast in 2011.
"I ignore them. I am a working actress and the kind of attitude I'm getting from views is expected. Some people cannot differentiate between Lesego and Rachel.
