SowetanLIVE 2016 Mzansi’s Sexiest finalist Blue Mbombo is working on a new women’s clothing line.

The Big Bother alumni reveals that with the assistance of an up-and-coming designer, who would like to remain anonymous, will launch a strictly denim line under the label Duchess Blue Denim.

Mbombo says the first collection from the label will be unveiled next year March.

“I went to China two weeks ago; I came back on the 4th. Obviously it was a business trip and not a holiday. I just wanted to see business that side, with regards to bringing material this side. What do you have to pay? Which factories to work with? If I should design things from scratch in China,” Mbombo points out.

Mbombo with great frustration insists that while Big Brother propelled her to stardom, she has worked on a lot of things since her stint on the reality TV show earlier this year and she would like to be attributed to the last gig she worked on, which is Diski Divas.

“May I please be called Blue Mbombo a Diski Diva contestant or whatever? People should be referred to according to the last thing they worked on,” Mbombo voices.

“Don’t get me wrong, Big Brother opened so many doors for me. I wouldn’t be opening my own clothing line right now. I wouldn’t be a Mzansi’s Sexiest finalist. I appreciate Big Brother. I also got a lot of fan-base because of Big Brother and I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for my fans.” Mbombo utters.

Mbombo is currently dating rapper and fellow Mzansi’s Sexiest finalist Katlego 'K2' Mabusela, who she met in the Big Brother house.

“Because we met in the Big Brother house and we are currently the most loved couple, people think we have the perfect relationship. We do fight and there are a lot of ups and downs. But at the end of the day K2and I love each other very much,” Mbombo explains.
