British music mogul Simon Cowell has replaced Howard Stern for the new series of 'America's Got Talent'.

The 56-year-old music mogul has revealed he's accepted a role on reality TV series, replacing the radio DJ who walked away from the show in September.

Simon announced on Twitter: ''The good news is 'America's Got Talent' is back next year and the even better news is so am I!'' The London-born TV star has also revealed he first discussed the role years ago, but scheduling problems meant it never came to fruition.

Simon said: ''We've been talking about it for a few years, funny enough, me and NBC. This year ... everything worked. So it was perfect.'' And Simon has promised to bring his 'Mr. Nasty' persona to the judging panel when it returns to the air in 2016.

He told Us Weekly: ''I'm not going to lie to people when I think they're hopeless, I just couldn't do that! ''But no, of course I'm not going to be rude for the sake of being rude.

That would be ridiculous. I'll take it act by act.'' Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum, and Mel B are expected to star alongside Simon on the judging panel, although the final line-up is still to be confirmed.
