Bruce Jenner to return to motivational speaking

Former Olympian Bruce Jenner is planning to revive his motivational speaking career - which earned him around $5,000 an event in the 1970s - after he came out as transgender in an interview with Diane Sawyer last week.

The former Olympian - who confirmed he had decided to transition into a woman during an interview with Diane Sawyer last week - earned around $5,000 per session when he began speaking at events in the late 70s and is planning to return to the ''lucrative'' career now he will appeal to a ''wider'' audience.

A source told Us Weekly magazine: ''It was very lucrative for him in the past and now he has a whole new audience.'' Life coach Seth Rainess added: ''Bruce will be in greater demand than anybody. He could make tens of thousands per engagement.''

However, It appears the 65-year-old star - who features on the reality TV show 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians alongside his estranged wife Kris, daughters Kylie and Kendall and step daughters Khloe, Kourtney and Kim Kardashian West - isn't just in it for the money following his revelation he is hoping to ''change the world'' by coming out.

During the interview with Diane, he said: ''What I'm doing is going to do some good. And we're going to change the world. I really firmly believe that. We're going to make a difference in the world with what we're doing.''

Mara Keisling, executive director of the National Centre for Transgender Equality, has spoken out in favour of Bruce's decision to revive his career and speak publicly about his experiences. She believes he will have a ''huge impact'' on the transgender community and encourage others to have the courage to come out.

She said: ''All of us who have struggled with coming out know what a monumental thing it is to have Bruce Jenner come out as trans. It takes a lot of courage. ''And when a celebrity family like Bruce's is supportive, that can really help all trans people. It can have a huge impact.''

And Bruce won't be taking his new role as transgender spokesperson lightly. The source added: ''He is going to be a role model for the transgender community. He knows he has an important job to do.''
