Shakira has shared the first photograph of her baby son on the Unicef World Baby Shower website.

The 'Hips Don't Lie' singer posted the cute snap of her and her husband Gerard Piqué's new bundle of joy, one-week-old Sasha, on the Unicef World Baby Shower website, which is aiming to improve the lives of poverty-stricken people across the globe.

Taking to her Facebook account, the 38-year-old singer wrote: ''~ We'd like to introduce you to Sasha Piqué Mebarak--to meet him go to www.worldbabyshower.org (sic).''

The gorgeous photograph comes just one day after the blonde beauty posted a snap of Sasha's foot on the social networking site, comparing his tiny toes to FC Barcelona footballer Gerard's feet.

She wrote alongside the picture: ''I have Daddy's feet, it looks like I've been playing football my whole life.''

The adorable snap of the newborn follows comments from the child's paternal grandfather Amador Bernabéu who revealed the tot looks just like his 28-year-old father, whereas the couple's two-year-old son Milan resembles Shakira. He said recently: ''They've told me he looks like Gerard.

''[Their first son] Milan looked like Shakira when he was born, but this one looks more like his father.''

Shakira gave birth to Sasha via Cesarean Section and took to her Facebook account last Thursday (29.01.15) to announce his name and the meaning behind his moniker.

She wrote: :We are happy to announce the birth of Sasha Piqué Mebarak, son of Shakira Mebarak and Gerard Piqué, born January 29 at 9:54pm, in Barcelona.

The name Sasha is of Greek and Russian descent and means 'defender of mankind' and 'warrior.' The hospital confirmed that both mother and child are in excellent health. (sic)''
