Economic Freedom Fighters leader Julius Malema has requested media and uninvited guest to respect his privacy during his wedding ceremony.

“I will be getting married in a private function and no journalist is invited and those who are not invited will not be welcomed,” he said in an interview on 702.

Malema is marrying his long-time fiancée; Mantwa Matlala, a woman from his home town Seshego.

The 33-year-old politician said his wedding is private because his in-laws are not public figures and want to keep it like that.

“Respect the family I am marrying into because they are not public figures and they want to remain like that,” said Malema.

He said that although he is a public figure and people have voted him, he still deserves the right to privacy.

Malema’s wife-to-be is an accountant and she comes from his neighbourhood.

Asked about what he wants for Christmas, Malema said that he has received everything he ever wanted; from his marriage to the achievements of the EFF.

The wedding is happening this weekend and it is set to happen in his hometown in Polokwane.
