SA celebs pay tribute to Lulu Dikana

After waking up to the sad new of the passing of singer Lulu Dikana, many of SA’s well known personalities have taken to social media to pay tribute to her.

Dikana passed away last night after falling ill; the news was confirmed by a manager at Sony Music Entertainment this morning.

Dikana was a soul/jazz singer and the sister of popular artist Zonke Dikana.

#RIP to this talented lady Lulu Dikana. I always admired the beautiful relationship you had with your sister Zonke as it reminded me of my sister and I. We appreciate you and your music. Praying your family finds peace during this difficult time. May you rest in heavenly peace”, Nandi Mngoma posted on Instagram

@RJBenjamin wrote: Lulu Dikana has passed on. Music with integrity and honesty which no doubt reflected her life, too sad!

We still cannot believe that the talented Lulu Dikana has passed away. She will be missed by many. May her soul rest in peace,” wrote 180 with Bob on KAYA FM.

"Rest in Peace Lulu Dikana. May you have a beautiful journey back home," wrote Boity Thulo.

And as usual Ntsiki Mazwai chose to take the controversial route: “But since we don't celebrate talent BEFORE it dies.......a lot of them probably don't know who she is. S/O to our excellent journalism!”, she wrote.

Sony Music Entertainment will be releasing a formal statement on the matter later on today.
