'Wrecking Ball' hitmaker Miley Cyrus has posted a drawing of a crying alien, surrounded by thoughts bubbles saying things such as, ''Gravity has nothing to do with me falling for you''.

The 'Wrecking Ball' hitmaker - who split from fiance Liam Hemsworth a year ago - posted a picture of a crying alien surrounded by thought bubbles, entitled 'early a.m. drawin', on her Instagram account, and the surrounding text appeared to suggest she is mourning a lost love.

The thought bubbles make numerous references to a failed relationship, with messages like, ''I must go. I will miss yiew (sic)'' and ''why does love make me cry''. The singer also asks, ''Will I ever be happy again'' and ''Gravity has nothing to do with me falling for you''.

Miley followed up the eye-catching images with another drawing of an alien, though this one made no references to love and is instead just seen blowing bubbles. Earlier this month, Billy Ray Cyrus - Miley's father - warned his daughter about becoming a ''bitter ole man''.

Miley posted a screen shot of a conversation she had with the 53-year-old country music singer. The message from her father read: ''You are crazy to be down. You are one of the luckiest people in the world right now. ENJOY IT! ''Don't be like me and miss it all worrying about s**t beyond control ALL the time. ''That would make you a bitter ole man and that's not cool'' (sic).''
