Beyonce references elevator incident in new remix

Beyonce references the elevator altercation between Jay Z and her sister, Solange, which happened after the Met Ball in May, on an new track.

The 'Single Ladies' star released a new remix of her track 'Flawless' featuring Nicki Minaj last night (02.08.14) and in it appears to make reference to Solange wildly swinging at her husband as she looked on after the Met Ball in New York earlier this year.

On the track she says: ''Of course sometimes s**t goes down when there's a billion dollars on an elevator.'' Elsewhere in the track she states: ''Mommy taught me good home training, my daddy taught me how to love my haters, my sister told me I should speak my mind, my man made me feel so goddamn fine.''

The reasons for Solange's attack on Jay Z in May have never been revealed, but a week after the soundless footage leaked, they issued a joint statement saying they had resolved their issues. The statement read: ''As a result of the public release of the elevator security footage from Monday, May 5th, there has been a great deal of speculation about what triggered the unfortunate incident.

''But the most important thing is that our family has worked through it. ''Jay and Solange each assume their share of responsibility for what has occurred.

They both acknowledge their role in this private matter that has played out in the public. ''They both have apologised to each other and we have moved forward as a united family.'' Jay Z and Beyonce's have been plagued by rumours their marriage is in trouble over the last week, but they have nevertheless continued their On The Run tour, which saw them perform in Los Angeles last night, watched by a star studded crowd including Natalie Portman, David and Victoria Beckham, Courtney Love, Nicole Richie, Salma Hayek and Nick Cannon.
