DJ Euphonik breaks the silence on the 2012 Bonang assault

Newsrooms and social media sites were buzzing as reports of the popular DJ’s assault on his girlfriend Bonang Matheba emerged.
Euphonik (Themba Mbongeni Nkosi) and his girlfriend TV personality Bonang Matheba were involved in a legal battle that left the Nkosi with a bad reputation in 2012.
Matheba opened a case of assault against the 5FM DJ and also obtained a protection order against him following a physical altercation at the Nkosi’s home.
The case was later dropped and two love birds went back into each other’s arms leaving many confused.
Euphonik has now addressed the 2012 assault case as well as the recent ‘blackmail’ issue with his former helper during an interview with journalist Nicky Greenwall on the celebrity chat show ScreenTime.
“I felt betrayed to a certain extent, yes. For me it was like okay, cool, irrespective of what happened or how it happened… like what happened behind our closed doors is between you and I,” he said.
