THE three soul music sensations who will take to the stage for the Road to Joy of Jazz have promised to take Afro-Soul to another level.
Lulu Dikana, Malik and Nothende will perform live in one of the "super sessions" to take place in five provinces to fuel interest in the jazz festival to be held later this year.
The performances, in preparation for the annual festival, are aimed to also coincide with Youth Month celebrations by pairing upcoming artists with established acts.
Speaking to Sowetan, Malik Mthulise said his fans could expect a complete metamorphosis of his music as he has been working on a new sound. "My fans will get a little bit of international and local cover versions. I have the most amazing band for the show."
Lulu Dikana was equally upbeat.
"I'll be singing from the heart. Anyone who has never seen me perform live can expect fireworks and a couple of surprises."
l The Road to Joy of Jazz is on June 8 at The Lyric at Gold Reef City. Tickets range from R150 to R250 at Computicket and Shoprite outlets.
