Movie Review - Hitchcock exceptional acting, lousy flick

Hitchcock is an American biography drama set in 1959, it is based on a non-fiction book by Stephen Rebello titled,Alfred Hitchcock and the making of Psycho.

Hitchcock centers on the relationship between director Alfred Hitchcock played by the thespian Anthony Hopkins and his wife Alma Reville (played by Hele Mirren during the making of a controversial horror movie Psycho based on the crimes of the serial killer, Ed Gein, which later became one of the most acclaimed and influential works in the filmmaker's career.

The movie is centered around Hitchcock’s insecurities, ego, uncountable rage as well as his unreasonable persistence.

In the film, Hitchcock often imagines himself talking to Gein at times using him as his own therapist. Hitchcock is troubled in his life because he feels he is getting old and irrelevant to the film industry. He is also convinced that his wife is having an affair with his friend Whitfield Cook (Danny Huston). In return Alma is upset with her husband for being a flirt.

This movie sees exceptional acting and portrayal of the time.
