Paying tribute to trees

ARBOR Week is a special week set aside for planting and caring for trees.

It originated in Switzerland in the 15th century to raise awareness about the importance of trees.

In South Africa, Arbor Day started in 1983. In 1997, it was extended to National Arbor Week.

SA Arbor Week highlights at least two trees - one common and one rare species. Dwaf.gov.za
