TSHEPO Howard Mosese, the new presenter of the popular SABC1 romantic reality show, All You Need Is Love, believes that real love will always conquer material desires.

Mosese, also known by the hip-hop monicker of "Howza", and who takes over from Sisanda Henna, says he has already shot two episodes for the show.

Although he is not certain how he landed the job, he says he believes that maybe the secret is his bubbly personality.

"I am an extroverted, energetic character. This show allows me to be myself.

"I cannot say I have enough experience to run this show, but being in three years of marriage is my back-up scheme," he says.

SABC1's head of publicity, Vukile Madlala, was quoted as saying about the new presenter: "The show requires a strong personality to drive it and we believe Howza has what it takes, he resonates well with our viewers, even from his other roles as presenter on Big Up as well as his music background."

Defending the relevance of the show during a time when materialism everywhere seems to be overcoming the essence of love, the father of a one-year-old daughter says: "Everyone needs to be loved - even if one loves a person for the wrong reasons, love eventually prevails."

Mosese, who is also a keen actor and the presenter of the youth show Big Up, confessed his love for the show for its unpredictability.

"People always get the shock of their lives when we visit them for interviews. But there is no guarantee they will always come out with their personal lives, especially their love lives.

"If they agree to do an interview, that is when you get to see the crux of things. There is a moment of silence, followed by emotions and sincerity, it's then you know things are getting tense," says Howza.

Apart from his new job, Mosese is too busy to idle, he also has a project called Hustler Remix, which features a variety of up-and-coming musicians.

As if that is not enough, he has created a shoe range, Howza Delux, which is heading for shop shelves.

"My wife and I have been South African ambassadors for Dodos shoe wear for about a year now. I love good shoes, so I felt I needed to have my own label. When I approached them (Dodos managers) they were excited about the idea.

"That's how it all started and we are already manufacturing and, come the end of year, Howza Delux will be on your feet," says Mosese.

'All You Need Is Love' is a Dutch format show which was first aired on SABC1 in 2002 by Hlomla Dandala and Venessa Jansen.

It airs on Tuesdays (6.30pm).
