The 25-year-old singer - who is dating Vampire Diaries actor Taylor Kinney - wants young women to appreciate that they can "honour their bodies" by not "putting out" too soon.
"I hope that young women know that sex is still a big deal, and they don't have to put out soon.
If they want someone to court them for a while before they give it up, that's wonderful and beautiful, and a man will only respect you more for honouring your body."
Gaga - who is a spokeswoman for Mac cosmetics 'Viva Glam campaign', which raises awareness of HIV-Aids - also insisted she doesn't mind if people don't always like what she does or says because she thinks the most important thing is to always make "brave" choices in life.
