Gospel singers join Sipho Makhabane

Hlengiwe Mhlaba, Thobekile, Pastor Ncanda, Tshepiso Motaung, Sechaba, Israel Mosehla and Solly Mahlangu will entertain music lovers

SOUTH Africa's top gospel musicians will perform at Carnival City in Brakpan, Gauteng, on September 3.

The powerful line-up of gospel artists will perform as part of Sipho Makhabane's 46th Birthday Gospel Celebration.

Musicians Hlengiwe Mhlaba, Thobekile, Pastor Ncanda, Tshepiso Motaung, Sechaba, Israel Mosehla and Solly Mahlangu will entertain music lovers.

Makhabane, who is also a pastor, says he is looking forward to celebrating his birthday with his fans. Born in Swaziland, he has contributed a lot to the genre.

"I feel that this is the time to celebrate with my fans. I don't mean to blow my own trumpet, but I have changed many people's lives through my music," Makhabane said.

Last year he announced that he was calling it a day as a recording musician. But he would continue to perform live.

"I just want to thank God for my life there is no way that I could have done all this by myself. God is the wind beneath my wings," Makhabane said.

Since his career began in 1993 the man who is one of the best gospel producers in the country, has released 19 albums.

He has worked with Shongwe and Khuphuka Saved Group, Frans Dlamini, Ncandweni Christ Ambassadors, Hlengiwe Mhlaba, Khuzizono, Tshepiso Motaung, Thobekile and Ncanda.

Apart from his successful singing career Makhabane has also established two companies - Big Fish Music and Amanxusa Music.
