KING of bling Kenny Kunene, who famously eats sushi off naked models, is to spice up East London's nightlife with the opening of a Zar Lounge at Hemingways Mall.
The exclusive venue will be the playground of East London big spenders and high rollers as has been the trend at his two other franchises in Cape Town and Johannesburg, where a bottle of Johnnie Walker Blue costs R5200 (R200 a tot) and Ace of Spade bubbly sets you back by R9000 a bottle. Entry is set at a cool R200 a person.
In an exclusive interview with the Daily Dispatch yesterday, Kunene said he had taken over the former Fashion TV (FTV) building at the Hemingways Mall.
The East London Zar will open before the end of July.
"We have done market research on East London and though the venue will be up-market, exclusive in the same league as other Zar Lounges elsewhere, we will make prices reasonable and affordable to people who want to be part of the classy life we are trying to promote," he said.
Local party-lovers will be pampered with the famous Zar's elegant decor, furniture and over-the-top parties that the club has become known for.
He decided to open the lounge in East London after requests from people.
