Super start to show

THIS dinner has certainly set the stage for what will follow tomorrow when the White Zulu goes on the stage at Emperors Palace to embark on a musical spiritual journey.

Last Tuesday's dinner at the Emperors' Palace was a precursor to Johnny Clegg's much-awaited concert. The Palace, which is increasingly becoming the home of good entertainment, hosted a marvelous dinner for VIPs and the media to celebrate the legendary Clegg's Spirit Is The Journey. The show runs until December 24 at the Theatre of Marcellus.

Spirit is the Journey highlights Clegg's musical and cultural influences over more than 30 years.

And to celebrate the occasion and pay tribute to an amazing artist who has performed to sold-out audiences from the UK to the US and Australia to Italy, the special dinner was held at the Tribes African Grill and Steakhouse at the Palace of Dreams.

Among the guests were Emperors Palace's chief operating officer Bob Yearham and Peermont group corporate affairs executive Vusi Zwane.

Also attended by models and executives, the dinner was as much about music and entertainment as it was about miniskirts.

Television presenter Gerry Elsdon looked very sexy in a micro mini .

One appreciative guest was overheard saying that the lovely lady looked a lot younger than she really is.

Elsdon's dinner partner, Mpho Baloyi, wore an equally exquisite micro-mini outfit.
