UKHOZI FM is rolling out some of South Africa's popular musicians in a campaign to discourage reckless behaviour during the festive season.

L'vovo, Big NUZ, Professor, Zakes Bantwini, Mgarimbe, Rock Boys, DJ Cleo, Liquideep, Bricks, Mandoza, Sosha, Theo Kgosinkwe, Winnie Khumalo and Bongi, among others, have been roped in for the campaign to raise awareness about "safe" fun during the festive season.

The station said there was a lot of entertainment every year that also involved a lot of partying, alcohol, drugs and gambling. The station says - this leads to road accidents.

Dubbed Nyusi iVolume, the campaign's theme is Jabul'uzibheke and is urging people to avoid drugs and casual sex.

Starting tomorrow in Ladysmith, some of the station's programmes will be broadcasting live from the music festival.

The station's DJs will host concerts around the country to raise awareness.
