IF you missed it last season, worry no more. SABC 1 Mzansi Fo Sho's So You Think You Can Dance's search for the nation's favourite dancer is back to unearth more raw talent, as evidenced on Saturday.

The long-awaited show kicked off with the unveiling of the top 16 finalists during the first live show of this "dancertainment" spectacle.

Hosted by the spunky Sade Giliberti, the second season of So You Think You Can Dance is bolstered by returning judges Didi Moses, David Matamela and head judge Harold van Buuren. They spiced it up with special guest artists added to the mix.

This year's mixed bunch ranges in age from 18 to 27, with the majority hailing from Gauteng and three apiece from KwaZulu-Natal and Western Cape. They are: Ashley Beyers, Bonwa Mbontsi, Carl Davids, Cleo Notcutt, Darren Hammond, Gerbrandt de Wet, Jeanette Boipelo Maphafo, Jade John (JJ) Heuvel, Kabelo (KayB) Mahlala, Kai Pretorius, Lulu Mlangeni, Xolani Mthabela, Nkateko (Takkies) Maswanganye, Shelley Nicole Christians, Snenhlanhla Mbatha and Tumie Letsoenyo.

Audiences have already witnessed the highs and lows of the nationwide auditions.

Viewers can start selecting their favourites as the dancers start vying for the R250,000 prize and the honour of being named Mzansi's favourite dancer.

The show is on each Wednesday and Saturday from 6pm to 7pm - until the nail-biting finale on 16 October.

The first results show, on Wednesday, September 1, at 7pm, will not be an elimination show.
