South Africa’s Transnet will shut down its coal export line for 14 days of routine maintenance from July 11, the state-owned logistics firm said on Wednesday.

A total of 230,000 tonnes of coal per day is transported on the line, the company said.

Transnet on Monday reported a slight rise in full-year revenue but said coal export volumes fell by 5.5% to 72.1 million tonnes.
