Facebook and Instagam experienced an outage on Tuesday morning.

The Facebook website cited ‘technical difficulties’ and said to have been working on getting the two popular social mediums back up.

“Sorry, something went wrong. We're working on it and we'll get it fixed as soon as we can," Jerusalem Post quoted Facebook.

Reports suggested that the outage was almost worldwide as it affected in the United States, Asia and Australia. South Africa has also been affected.

Everyone took to rival social medium Twitter to air out their frustrations. With others taking it to an extreme extend of suggesting that the world has witnessed the end of the two.

“Facebook is down. Instagram is down. DFG is down. All good things come to an end. #RIP,” said @MachinimaRealm.

‏@StrongholdMom said: “I find it interesting that @instagram tweeted about the outage but @facebook is as quiet as a mouse. Hmm... #facebookdown”.

@traread said: “Is anyone else's Facebook & Instagram down? Haven't seen anyone tweet about it at all.”

Instagram is however not totally down as people from other parts of the country are able to upload.
