Harmony miner killed

A miner has died of severe injuries after an accident at Harmony's Doornkop mine near Krugersdorp, the mine said.

Carlitos Uetela Chilongue died in hospital on Friday, said spokeswoman Henrika Basterfield.

"He suffered injuries in an underground rail-bound accident last week Monday."

Harmony chief executive Graham Briggs sent his condolences to the miner's family and others affected.
