Chippa United will be delighted to be back in their "second home" of East London on Sunday for their Nedbank Cup first round tie against NFD leaders Baroka FC, said coach Dan Malesela.

"East London is nice, hey! East London has a good vibe; East London is football friendly. The atmosphere is just amazing, it's like the good old days of playing football at Orlando Stadium, where the crowd was right up to you," said the former Buccaneer and Mamelodi Sundowns defender.

Malesela said he was not particularly concerned about the threat posed by Baroka, despite the fact their opponents from Limpopo province are on course for automatic promotion to the Premiership.

"We want to do well in the cup this season and we are trying to set standards where we don't just play for the sake of playing.

"We need to play to compete. The cup is a good test for us. Hopefully we'll do well. I know Baroka well from my time coaching in the NFD, but I'm confident we'll beat them."

Chippa moved to Port Elizabeth two years ago from Cape Town after financial inducements from the Eastern Cape government and the operators of the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.
