Bloemfontein Celtic have appointed Serame Letsoaka as their head coach, the club confirmed on Thursday.

The former Bafana Bafana and SuperSport United assistant coach joined Celtic after the exit of Clinton Larsen.

According to a statement by Siwelele, Letsoaka will immediately take charge of the team.

Celtic boss Max Tshabalala said: "Words cannot describe our utter joy, to sign a coach of such impeccable credentials with an incredible work ethic.

"He is a steward of South African football, having served the country at the highest level as a SAFA Technical Director and also possessing high coaching qualifications and also serves as a CAF Coaching Instructor."

"The culture of the team is paramount, there were a lot of applications from afar as Spain but we felt that Serame (as a South African), will be the appropriate choice as he is more familiar with our style of play.

"The reality that is Celtic is a huge brand and needs a genuine leader like Letsoaka to guide us to greater heights," Tshabalala said.
