Kaizer Chiefs assistant-coach Doctor Khumalo says the club will look at the video footage to determine whether Itumeleng Khune's dismissal against AmaZulu at Peter Mokaba Stadium on Wednesday was a correct call by referee Phillip Tinyani.

AmaKhosi keeper was cautioned for time-wasting and an ensuing remonstration drew a brave double-booking from the match official in the space of a minute.

“We will watch the recordings and if Khune was at fault, we will take the necessary remedial steps. We have systems in place to deal with such situations. Khune is one of the senior players in the team, so he knows what is expected of him”, said Khumalo.

Missing their coach‚ Stuart Baxter‚ serving the first game of a two-match suspension‚ Amakhosi showed the discipline‚ under the instruction of assistant Doctor Khumalo.

“We are professionals,” adds Khumalo, who stood in for the suspended head coach Stuart Baxter.

“It is all in the mind. By the look of things, pressure is mounting on the players and the match officials alike.”
