THE congested fixture list has seen the Premier Soccer League go back on its policy of playing the last two rounds of the league season simultaneously and on successive weekend days to offer no undue advantage to any of the top-flight clubs.

Instead, two rearranged fixtures are now to be played on Wednesday, May 6, just four days before the final round of games on May 10.

The twice-postponed clash between relegation-threatened Free State Stars and Orlando Pirates has now been set down for the Charles Mopeli Stadium in Phuthaditjhaba on May 6.

It was first called off because of floodlight failure, which cost Stars a record fine from the PSL.

The league has also moved the match between Kaizer Chiefs and the University of Pretoria, which was set down for the Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit on April 26, to May 6 because Chiefs are playing away in the Ivory Coast on the original date in the second leg of their African Confederation Cup fourth- round tie. Another Chiefs game on April 18, when they were scheduled to host Free State Stars, has yet to be rearranged but Chiefs cannot play that day either because they have the first-leg tie against ASEC Mimosas in Dobson- ville the next day.
