FOR 90 minutes at Ellis Park on Saturday night, South Africa will not show Egypt their renowned spirit of ubuntu when the two countries square up for an African Cup of Nations qualifier

The Pharaohs, ranked N0 1 on the continent and seven-time-champions, have been struggling in the qualifiers and have only got one point from two matches.

The recent political turmoil in their country has also not made things easy and Bafana Bafana are hoping to capitalise.

Thulani "Simply The Best" Serero acknowledged that while the defending champions may appear vulnerable, they will still be difficult opponents.

Serero, however, warned that "no one is unbeatable". "They are a very good team and are No 1 in Africa. It won't be an easy game but we can beat them," said the exciting Ajax Cape Town player.

Regarding the political unrest in Egypt and the effect it could have on their opponents, Serero said: "They will come here looking for a win and I don't think they will let the situation back in their country affect them."

Serero's display at club level has had supporters raving about him and he has vowed to make an impression if given a chance on Saturday.

"If given a chance, I'll use it and will definitely do my best but it is all up to the coach whether I play or not," said the Soweto-born who came on as a substitute in Bafana's 2-0 win over Kenya in Rustenburg on February 9.

He was instrumental in Ajax's 3-0 win over Orlando Pirates last week and thus put the Cape side top of the log but he has warned against complacency.

"It was obviously a great feeling to win that match but we are trying not to get excited because it is not over yet and we still have other matches to play. We will take one game at a time but hopefully we will stay top until the end of the season," he said.
