'I lost R30k in cash': Bus passengers describe how fire started and what they lost

Wedding clothes, toys, groceries and other valuables were destroyed in seconds on the N1 on December 11 2019.

With traffic heavily backed up, passengers sat on the side of the road. Some were barefoot, with bandages around their legs, hiding injuries that could have claimed their lives.
