One person was killed and four other people were injured in a collision between two vehicles on the R30 between Derby and Ventersdorp in North West on Saturday night.
“At the time of their arrival‚ ER24 paramedics found the driver of one of the vehicles trapped in his car and unfortunately he was declared dead on the scene‚” said ER24 spokesperson Annine Siddall.
The driver of the other vehicle was critically injured and was transported to a nearby hospital for further care‚ she said.
“Three other patients sustained moderate injuries and were all transported to nearby hospitals by other emergency services.
“Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.”
