Two people were killed when a goods train derailed at the Delville Wood train station near Shongweni in the Hillcrest area in KwaZulu-Natal‚ the province’s emergency medical services said on Twitter.
The accident was also confirmed by Netcare 911.
According to a statement issued on the Arrive Alive website‚ reports from the scene indicated that a landslide caused by heavy rain on Saturday night led to the accident.
