“There was nothing paramedics could do” for a woman who was hit by three cars Greytown Road near Copesville in KwaZulu-Natal on Tuesday night.

ER24 said: “The first vehicle apparently fled the scene after knocking the woman.”

A statement from the emergency service added that “a second vehicle then apparently hit her and came to a stop” before she was “apparently hit by a bakkie” which then overturned on an embankment.

“When ER24 paramedics arrived on scene they found the woman in the slow lane of the northbound carriageway‚” it said.

“The woman sustained severe injuries. There was nothing paramedics could do for her.

“The driver of the bakkie sustained minor injuries but declined hospital treatment.”
