The poor will have free electricity and water under an EFF government‚ EFF leader Julius Malema says.

He told supporters at the launch of the party’s election manifesto for the coming local government elections on Saturday that every household would also have flushing toilets.

He said that the fact that white farmers all had electricity‚ water and flushing toilets while the rural communities around these farms had nothing showed that the ANC government did not care about the people.

Under an EFF government‚ Malema said‚ businesses would have to pay 40% of their profits to local municipalities.

He said the money would be used to uplift the local communities and the poor.

Moreover‚ 70% of business in any area would have to be conducted by locals.
