The National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI) has issued a storm warning advising boaters‚ paddlers‚ bathers and anglers to be cautious around the coast and on inland waterways.

This follows on numerous weather and flood predictions and warnings posted by the South African Weather Service and Disaster Risk Management Operations around the country due to an immiment cold front.

“NSRI urge extreme caution around the coast and on inland waterways and advise the public to keep a watch on weather and storm related information and heed warnings posted by the necessary authorities and to take the necessary safety precautions.

“Big sea swells‚ storm conditions‚ strong winds forecast to be gale force winds in places can be expected.”
