South Africans take to Twitter to #DenyEverything related to 2010 World Cup
As highly expected, South Africans found their inner funny bone to release the stress related to corruption allegations around the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
The #DenyEverything hashtag took centre stage following the denial by Sport Minister Fikile Mbalula that the South African government paid any bribes to secure the world cup.
This came after an indictment by the the United States' Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) accusing South Africa of paying $10million (about R120million) to Jack Warner and others to vote for the world cup to be hosted in the country.
Here is what South Africans tweeted:
"I know nothing. I was told to leave IMMEDIATELY. Left my laptop in the office and everything." #DenyEverythingpic.twitter.com/SF8cDnu8Cl
