TRAFFIC officers in Musina, Limpopo, are being forced to cover vast distances on foot to carry out their duties because all their vehicles have broken down.

While Musina municipal spokesman Wilson Dzebu said the situation had no impact on law enforcement, officers complained of fatigue and low morale.

One officer, who cannot be named, said: "The vehicles were old and showed signs of being unroadworthy a long time ago. We brought this to the attention of the authorities on several occasions but in vain".
