THE ANCYL have turned against its ex-president Malusi Gigaba whom they say never had a political view on any issue before.

The league took offence after Gigaba told an American Chamber of Commerce breakfast in Johannesburg that the call for nationalisation of mines was driven by populism.

The league said Gigaba was inspired by the American Chamber of Commerce.

"We hope his suddenly-found courage to speak about nationalisation of mines is not inspired by the American Chamber of Commerce," league secretary Sindiso Magaqa said.
