A TODDLER was grazed on the forehead by a stray bullet during a shootout between police and gunmen in Kagiso yesterday, Gauteng police said.
Warrant Officer Solomon Sibiya said police were patrolling the area when they stopped two men at 2am.
A shootout ensued after the men started firing at the police.
Sibiya said one shot fired by the men went through a shack where a woman and her 4-year-old girl were sleeping.
The bullet hit the baby's woollen hat and grazed her forehead.
The men ran away. Police have not made any arrests.
