THE daughter of former popular Lesedi FM presenter Thuso Motaung is taking him to court for maintenance

THE daughter of former popular Lesedi FM presenter Thuso Motaung is taking him to court for maintenance.

Keke Moloi, who first sued Motaung for maintenance in 2007, said Motaung was sending her from pillar to post after he defaulted on maintenance and other court orders.

Motaung is now spokesperson for Free State Premier Ace Magashule.

Moloi, a beauty therapist student at GoldField FET college in Welkom, Free State, alleged Motaung, who had been taking care of her since she was 7, neglected her after he met his current wife and Lesedi FM presenter Mmamontha Motaung.

"Since they became an item in 2002 he refused to pay for my school fees and buy me clothes. He told me that I was not his only child," Moloi said.

She said in 2007 she took Motaung to the Welkom magistrate's court in an effort to force him to pay her school fees and buy her clothes.

Moloi won the case.

Motaung was ordered to pay Moloi's school fees, R3000 a month and be responsible for her transport to and from school.

He was also ordered to buy her clothes worth R2500 in summer and again in winter until his daughter finished school and got a job.

"He has not been consistent and I was nearly expelled from school last year for failing to pay school fees on time," Moloi said.

"I have now reported him to the same court and he will have to tell the magistrate why he had failed to comply with a court order," she said.

Motaung will appear in court on May 30.

Motaung, who did not deny being Moloi's father, threatened to sue his daughter if Sowetan published the story.

"I will be very happy if Sowetan publishes the story because though she is my child, I will sue her for tarnishing my image."

Moloi said Motaung impregnated her mom in 1981. He was her teacher.

Moloi was born in 1982 and says she is Motaung's first-born child.
