LOVE is in the air for Durban businesswoman, celebrity and Crown Gospel Awards founder Zanele Mbokazi and Swaziland Bishop Mpendulo Nkambule

The bishop is to shower Mbokazi's family with gifts at the Umembeso ceremony on January 22 at her family home in Thornwood, Mariannhill, in the first leg of the traditional wedding ceremonies before she walks down the aisle.

The two lovebirds met last year at a church seminar in Swaziland. Mbokazi says her husband-to-be is a God-fearing man, which for her is the main attraction and crucial for every relationship.

"I am fascinated by his mind, the way he views life and his global thinking. I am attracted by his ability to challenge me on a mental level," she said.

Her good friend and colleague Pastor Vusi Dube of the Ethekwini Community Church in Durban, who is spokesperson for Mbokazi's wedding, said preparations for her big day are going well.

Mbokazi is expected to tie the knot in about three months time, though the date has not yet been announced.

Dube said: "They both conduct marriage counselling, they both work hard, dedicate their lives to the work of God and most importantly are crazy about each other."

A special engagement function was held in Swaziland in December. The bishop went on his knees, diamond ring in hand, and proposed in front of his church, family and a few of Mbokazi's closest friends, including First Lady Nompumelelo MaNtuli Zuma and Ukhozi FM's Dudu Khoza.
