A 25-YEAR-OLD man was arrested in central Johannesburg while buying food at a fish and chips outlet he had allegedly earlier robbed, Gauteng police said yesterday.

The man and an accomplice apparently entered the store pretending to be customers on Monday, Warrant Officer Xoli Mbele said.

His accomplice pointed a gun at a woman behind the till and took an undisclosed amount of money before the two fled the scene.

One of them returned to the store later in the day to buy food and was arrested after workers recognised him.
