COPE general secretary Charlotte Lobe is frustrating the party with her refusal to present the resignation letter of parliamentary leader Mvume Dandala.

After her failure to attend the congress' national committee meeting last week she also did not show up yesterday.

Cope spokesperson Phillip Dexter said the meeting could not sit because some members, including Lobe, did not attend.

Cope president Mosiuoa Lekota and his deputy Mbhazima Shilowa are involved in a power struggle that has seen them take each other to court.

After Lekota's last court victory, his supporters are pushing him to replace Dandala in Parliament. -Kingdom Mabuza
