A NIGERIAN man was sentenced to three years in prison after being convicted on fraud charges in the Pretoria magistrate's court on Wednesday night.

The man appeared before a specialised World Cup court.

NPA spokesperson Mthunzi Mhaga said the man was found in possession of 30 stolen World Cup tickets valued at R40000.

Mhaga said 11 World Cup- related cases had been finalised countrywide, with only one acquittal, since the tournament started.
