THE naming of the final Bafana Bafana squad happened amid much fanfare.
While we celebrate with the 23 players I also want to salute the five who were not selected.
All the players understood the enormous challenges in being part of the provisional squad.
Those who did not make it must find solace in the fact that their contribution has been enormous.
The experience gained can only be an investment for our football and this will make them even better professional players.
We hope that our team asserts itself when they do their duty for the country and also contribute to the African year of promoting peace through sports.
