AFRICA'S largest hospital group Netcare yesterday reported a 28percent rise in first-half earnings and increased its capital spending on a favourable outlook for SA.

Netcare, which operates hospitals in SA and Britain, said adjusted headline earnings per share for the six months to end-March rose 28percent to 42,9cents.

Group revenue fell 5percent to R11,04billion. - Reuters
