SOUTH Africa's trade account swung unexpectedly into surplus in March - after a deficit the previous month.
This attested to domestic demand remaining depressed after last year's downturn.
Sars has reported a surplus of R460million for March - compared with a R5,7billion shortfall in February.
Compared with the previous month, exports were up 27,5percent while imports increased by 11,16percent.
